Chasing Time
we lose so much time being stuck.
Time is linear. Time may define a certain period of life, but it doesn’t define you. Time is spent being wasted on versions of yourself that hurt you And make that you wish had the knowledge of what you have now Wasted on situations that imprinted on how reactive you become The confusion and regret built up Time is supposed to be used to learn Learn more than the parts of yourself that make you want to hide But what makes you smile and be free Learn the depth of who you are internally Time is supposed to be experienced. It appears moves faster than lightning 10 years from now is literally tomorrow And 20 years before is now last week As kids, we think that time is forever That it sits and waits as if it were your childhood bestfriend Knocking upon your door waiting to see if you could come outside We think that time slows down Time moves when we wants it to And stops when we think the burdens We have accustomed ourselves to become to heavy As adults, we are too concerned with the time We've lost. The time that we had in the palm of our hands And slipped through our fingers as if it were silly puddy The time where we've lost our sense of self The time we've spent trying to get it back Time is linear. Time may define a certain period of life, but it doesn’t define you. Use the time you have now to live. Live freely and unapologetically Live to just be Live to just see See where time takes you next.

Wow, reading this right now after just publishing one list on how to make me less anxious (it is super related to this piece to be honest, since I ve been counting the hours and minutes so much lately, I really needed the “live freely and unapologetic” part 🤞🏻✨)!! I really liked it!
A nice piece!
Time doesn't really wait for anyone. But we're so focused on the one we've lost rather than the one ahead.
